What is Flashathon?
KSU Flashathon is a student-run philanthropy that hosts a 12-hour dance marathon at Kent State University in the spring. We are a Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon, benefiting our local hospital, Akron Children's Hospital. The 7th Annual Dance Marathon will take place on March 2nd, 2019 at the Kent State University Student Recreation and Wellness Center. We will unite students of Kent State University, medical professionals, and the children and families of Akron Children’s Hospital for a day of dancing and miracles. Click here to learn more.

Flashathon is held at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Registration is located in the main lobby. Our main stage is located on the far basketball courts and the other activities are held in the multi-purpose gym as well as the racquetball rooms.
do i have to dance?
No! While you do register for the event as a dancer, there are many other activities going on during the 12-hours besides dancing. You can participate in dodge ball, soccer, and corn hole, along with several other sports, hang out with the miracle kids, or check out our raffle, reflection room, and photo booths. And you might even catch the dancing bug and want to join in with the hundreds of students (of all skill levels) dancing for a cure!
